The FMHA “Museum Happenings” is published monthly and more frequently as needed to keep you up-to-date on events at the Fort Miles Museum. This update is as of January 8th and covers the month of January.
Fort Miles Battery 519 Museum Tours
FORT MILES BATTERY 519 MUSEUM TOURS
The Museum re-opening scheduled for January 15th has been postponed to February or later. Once new tour dates are announced, the dates and times will be posted via future Happenings updates. Please check back for further updates as new information becomes available.
During the winter months, once the Museum can re-open, guided tours of Battery 519, conducted by Delaware State Parks’ historic interpreters, are typically scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
A $5/person tour charge in is effect (children 7 and under excepted). These are group tours limited to 10 visitors per tour. Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling 302-644-5007.
The Museum is subject to compliance with Delaware safety regulations, including the requirement that face masks be worn inside the Museum/Battery 519.
